A place called Depression

Depression is not just sadness
Its an emotion of lonely and inner madness
It gives you thoughts of pain and loss
That other people don’t give a toss
It makes you lash out at friends you love
It makes you question the Lord above
Why did he give me this terrible emotion?
That has no cure or potion
Depression will lock you in
In a small and empty tin
It controls ever action and every thought
And puts your fuse to nought
It makes you scared and all alone
Talking with a silent deadly tone
